Cut Flowers
This page will be of interest to florists, restauranteur’s, caterer’s,
bed and
breakfasts, artists, photographers, crafter’s and any businesses who are
interested
in buying seasonal, locally grown cut flowers. We are once again growing
fresh
and dried cut flowers for wholesale. Theses will be seasonal flowers,
cut to your
order. We use a cooler only to remove field heat. The sooner we can get
our stems
in your hands, the better. You may then use the post harvest treatments
that you
prefer. We will take orders for dried materials for as long as each
season’s harvest
lasts. In 2009 we will also start harvesting woody plant materials such
as pussy
willow and red osier dogwood among may others. And of course all flower
material availability, will be dependent on weather and market
conditions.
The majority of our cut flowers will come from the plant materials that
you will
see on our herb and perennial flower lists. So, as you can see we will
have stems
that are not always easy to find, in the florist trade.
We will also have many common flowers such as artemisia, German statice,
globe amaranth, straw flowers, and of course we will have our usual
sunflowers
and zinnia’s. If there is something in particular that you are
interested in, please
feel free to contact us, you never know, we may be interested in trying
to grow
the flowers that you are interested in.
We will endeavor to post the availability of flowers, on this page, as
the season
progresses but, as always feel free to contact us, for up to date
information.
